The Cove Overlook

We stopped at the Cove Overlook on our way into Garrett County yesterday.  If you haven't stopped to view this panorama of farmland and rolling hills, make a point to do so the next time you're headed into the Deep Creek Lake area.  You'll find it on Rt. 219 as you're headed south into the Deep Creek Lake area, just north of Accident.

Fishing Bonanza

Thomas1 This fisherman had a good day on Saturday, catching over five fish in a short period of time off of his dock on Turkey Neck.  Worms were the bait of choice, enticing a wide variety of fish.  Saturday was a "Free Fishing Day" in Maryland.  You can catch the next one on July 4.

Memorial Day Weekend Pictures

My apologies for not posting since Thursday.  I've been taking some time enjoying the weekend as I hope all of you are as well.   It's been a bit chilly but beautiful in Garrett County this weekend, a good weekend for campfires and fishing.   Here are a few pictures of the weekend so far.

Another Great Photographer

I found another interesting photographer on the web.  Chris Kayler shows a whole new side of the scenes that he photographs.  Rainbow Water, shot on the Savage River, is a beautiful example of his unique work.
