Last Night's Moon

Did you see the moon last night?  Simply beautiful.  I tried to take pictures but couldn't get the correct exposure.

Farmers Market Update

Catch the Mountain Fresh Producers Association Farmers Market at Wonderful Wednesday tomorrow in Oakland.  The McHenry market opens on Thursday for the season.  I visited the market this past Saturday in Oakland and saw nice greens and many beautiful flowers among other things.  Also picked up some huge green onions, a fresh cucumber and bought a nice market bag to use the rest of the summer.

Driving With Caution

My family and I passed an accident yesterday on our way into the lake.  It didn't look like anyone was hurt, thankfully, but the cars were banged up pretty well.  Then, I read this article in the Times-News and Letters to the Editor in The Republican.  I'm amazed at how fast cars fly down Turkey Neck road heading into the loop when I'm out for a walk.   Here's a reminder to please drive with caution while traversing Garrett County roads.  If you're on Rt. 219, take your time and watch for pedestrians and other cars making stops and turns.  If you're on a back road, please be mindful that there might be walkers or bikers around the next bend.
