The public is invited to enjoy the music of Caleb Stine and The Honey Dewdrops at Our Town Theatre's fund raising concert on Saturday, July 26. Caleb will return to the OTT stage with the husband and wife duo Kagey Parrish and Laura Wortman of The Honey Dewdrops.
OTT is honored to have Caleb perform on its stage for the third time. The Baltimore Sun has called Caleb Stine the “lynch pin of the Baltimore folk scene.” To date, Stine has released six albums of original songs, played throughout the United States, and scored soundtracks. He directed the music and performed in the Off-Broadway play Woody Guthrie Dreams in 2011. He organizes the annual Round the Mountain Concert in Baltimore to showcase regional rockin’ folk groups. His sixth album "Maybe God Is Lonely Too" was released on April 12, 2014.
The Honey Dewdrops’ first two albums were both #1 on the Folk Radio chart. Their new CD, "The Honey Dewdrops Live from Folk Alley", features live performances at the Fayetteville Roots Festival 2013. They won first place for the 2008 talent show on NPRs "A Prairie Home Companion", met Caleb on the road, and they’ve toured together many times since.
Reservations for adults are $12 through July 25 and $17 on the day of the concert, July 26. Reservations for children under 16 are $5. All reservations will be paid at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the performance begins at 8:00 p.m. Our Town Theatre is located at 121 Center Street in Oakland, Maryland 21550, across from Ruth Enlow Library.
