Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, MD hosts their annual Christmas in the Village Celebration on December 5th and 6th. Guests may stroll though the candle-lit colonial village, located along the National Historic Road in Garrett County, Maryland. Visit the live Nativity Scene and stop in to visit with the artisans working in log cabin studios. Permanent resident artisans will be sharing such crafts as metal-smithing, blacksmithing, pottery, loom weaving, bird carving, slate painting, and stained glass. Visiting artisans, who stay for one-month residencies, specialize in various media, including quilting, collage, woodworking, drawing, printmaking, doll-making, and fiber arts.
