The Farmers Market opens on June 7th at 10:00 am at the Mountain Fresh Pavilion in Oakland. The market will be open every Saturday and Wednesday offering fresh vegetables, fruits, baked goods, jams, jellies, live plants, herbs, crafts and more. In McHenry, the markets start June 19 on Monday and Thursday evenings, from 4pm to 6:30 pm at the Visitor's Center parking lot. Expect to see the following seasonal foods as the market opens: Leaf lettuce and other greens, strawberries, asparagus, rhubarb, sugar snap peas, radishes and green onions.
