Discovery Center Planning A Tree Canopy

The Cumberland Times-News reports today that the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center is planning a forest canopy walkway for the State Park.  The article references the Myakka River State Park's Canopy Walkway as the inspiration for the project.  The International Canopy Network provides a wealth of information on these structures and their use.    The Times-News also report that Meg Lowman, aka Canopy Meg, will be in town in May to give a talk on her adventures at Garrett College and will be at the Discovery Center for a book signing.
